I remember when Norwegian Breakaway come 2013. I was on board an inaugural cruise even then, and was impressed by a lot. Including 678 Ocean Place, part of the ship surrounded by bars and restaurants - and with a large staircase in the middle.

Above this staircase hangs an impressive chandelier, or what to call it. The hanging lamp, as much an eye-catcher as the decorative element, was well photographed. First with the chandelier and all the places lined up in Las Vegas style was really Norwegian Epic (which came 2010). Everyone who came after - Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Encore - has a similar chandelier (at least what I can remember has crossed with them all except Joy).

Encore's "Crumpled Paper"

The chandelier on Norwegian Encore is bespoken. Or maybe I should say mocked. A little unfair I have to say because I think it's cool.

You can see the "Encore chandelier" on both deck 6, 7 and 8. Less bling-bling, more abstract artistry. Or something. I am not even very into interior design, but still I have noticed lately a series of lamps with similar asymmetrical looks. Like someone said: "a piece of wrinkled paper".

Whatever you think it lights up in different colors just like its predecessors. And will most likely be equally well-photographed. What do you think of Encore's centerpiece?
