Some of you may know that there is a zipline on board some of them MSC Cruises Ship? When we cruised MSC Seaview in May last year, we obviously tested it!

Step one was to find where the start itself was somewhere, nor did we know it cost anything, the habit of Royal Caribbean most of the activities are included (including the zipline that is on the vessels in the Oasis class).

The price for zipline at MSC Seaview was 10 euros, which is about USD 100 which we thought was in excess but still nothing we hesitated - well on board you want to test everything! 😉

How to avoid queuing

That said, we made it to the start, which is reached via the same staircase that leads to the water slide you board. You will find the mid ship deck 18.

Once there, we stood in line, which was otherwise basically non-existent when we did this on a port day, ie when the ship was in port. Then most people are on excursion or sightseeing and you can have the ship more or less for yourself.

When the instructor has fastened all the safety device and you put on your helmet, you are lifted onto a small pontoon. This is your starting point from where to go. When you are ready, you simply sit down, “loose” and when you are ready you go.

Thanks to the passenger whose rear we borrowed to illustrate how things are going 😉

You go over the sports plan, among other things (rain soaked in the picture, that's why we stayed on board this day). Photo: Heidi Rovén.

Fun activity

From the starting point, unfortunately, I only have pictures of another passenger because my husband and son stood below and filmed me, but you can see a small movie snippet for as long as I zipline on our account on instagram (@ seafun.se). As you can see below, you go through a couple of big rings along the way.

Teehoo, thumbs up - this was fun! Photo: Kristofer Scheiderbauer.
Go mom go, the sons stood and screamed! 😉 Photo: Kristofer Scheiderbauer.

If you are on board, I definitely think you should test MSC's zipline. It is a short trip and maybe not directly breathtaking, but very fun and so clear that you have to test everything the ship has to offer! For anyone who wonders (and hesitates) it is not at all scary so go for it! 🙂
