Elisabet Garcia Dahlbäck and Binge Eliasson lecture on Las Palmas. Photo: Heidi Rovén.

Yesterday I was at Instituto Cervantes in Stockholm and listened to a lecture on Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. The lecturer was freelance journalist Elisabet Garcia Dahlbäck and photographer Binge Eliasson who told of their little more unknown experiences of the island and showed lots of nice pictures.

The arrangement was a collaboration between the newspaper RES and the Spanish Tourist Office, and I was invited / invited by LinizTravel. It was catered for food and mingel and was generally nice!

Gran Canaria is definitely one of the favorite destinations and I have been there every other year since I was little. Las Palmas also has a cruise port, which may not be known by many.

A few years ago, we tested one kanariekryssning with MSC Cruises from there who took us on a nice route in the Canary Islands (we visited, among other things Tenerife, La Palma and Fuerteventura) and that we also stayed on Madeira which in turn offered a least special experience that you can read about here....!

I hope to be able to go back soon, whether it is for a cruise or not. There is so much left to discover. Often you stay on the sunny south coast, but the big city of Las Palmas has everything like other big cities, and a bit more. Not least the beautiful beach of Las Canteras.
